People Will Marry And Be Given In Marriage...

Its official and coming up soon. As many of you have heard Amanda and I have moved up our wedding date to march 22nd. we've booked the city hall here in Burnsville, and things are moving along. On another note it looks like Superman won the poll by a narrow margin. Only 5 votes total though. The next poll I will have to extend a bit longer. I should have some fun ones up there soon. I also am posting a video that grandpa sent. Maybe some of have seen it its the Diamond Rio song "In God We Trust" its good but you'll never hear it on the radio, because it was deemed politically incorrect if you can believe that. The very thing that this country was founded on is sadly and ironically politically incorrect. I'm afraid that someday maybe soon God will remove his favor from this land. The generations to come will certainly face some dark times, maybe we will even live to see it. If you think that times are dark now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Geology Rocks

I had a Geology Field Trip today, so I thought I'd take some cool pictures. This first picture is Instructor Berner. I love that he looks like Prospector Pete. He's telling us about the Minnesota river valley. Here's the Minnesota River meeting up with the Mississippi. You can see Fort Snelling off top-right. The Minnesota River has a wider valley than the Mississippi even though its a smaller river. Thats because the Minnesota River Valley used to have a different river running through it. It was a Glacial River called Warren River, it originated from glaciers. The Minnesota headwaters cut in much later.

Heres a really cool feature. This is a Sandstone outcropping. the sand in the sandstone is pure white quartz. under our feet it was like a beach. Apparently 350 million years ago, or maybe billion I can't remember, Minnesota was part of a tropical coastline. Wind blew the fine quartz grains behind the beach into sand dunes which later turned to sandstone.
